Dear Community Development Board Members- It was disappointing to find that the zoning allowances had been changed for frats and sororities in 2018 allegedly without public notice. This kind of zoning change should havegone through a well publicized public process with university neighbors being sent notices. I would ask that in tonight's discussion that you please vote to recommend a return to the previous zoning and thereby restrict fraternities and sororities to R4, RO, and conditionally inR3. Allowing them anywhere in R3, R2, and R1 creates uncertainty in property values and zoning is in place to provide certainty and expectations. And it will certainly degrade propertyvalues and quality of life for the neighbors. While I am personally not a fan of modern fraternal organizations, I agree that fraternities and sororities should be allowed in zones near campus when possible. In the case of MSU, thereare many areas near campus that have the appropriate zoning of R4, R0, or R3 (conditionally). Thank you for your time and efforts, Marcia Kaveney 1496 Boylan Rd
