The Greek system at MSU has produced many great leaders and major donors, of both time and money over the last 100 years. Here are a few names you may recognize, Sonny Holland, Bob Sletten, Gene Thayer, Jaynee Groseth, Bill Johnstone, Taylor Brown, Larry Aasheim and the list goes on and on. Larry Hambly a Sigma NU from the class of 1968 just donated $5 million to the physics department. When President Gamble came up with an unheard of idea of raising $100 million in a capital campaign, he turned to former Greeks to lead the way. Mike Ferris and Dave Kem led the foundation and Lois Norby and Jaynee Groseth led the Alumni Association. They are all Greeks. Through their efforts the Foundation and AlumniAssociations were merged and the campaign took off to raise it's goal of $100 million. As we all know the Montana State University Alumni Foundation Capital Campaign has now raised over $400 million. This was made possible by the leadership of President Gamble and President Cruzado and the hard work and vision of Mike,Dave, Lois and Jaynee. The Dean of Students office at MSU is well equipped to hand behavioral issues that arise in the Greek System. Zoning the Greek System out of existence is not the answer. The Greek system has been an integral part of MSU and has helped manyyoung women and men become successful in life. Please let it continue. Thank You, Jim Alderson Founder of the Alderson Program in Entrepreneurship Program at MSU Proud Greek Alumni of MSU
