Dear City commissioners,
I whole heartedly support and urge you to pass Resolution 5470.
Cities like Bozeman and others across the state should have the right to ensure a
clean and healthful enviornment for its citizens by taking actions like banning single
use plastics. HB 407 infringed upon this right and this resolution will be the first step
in correcting that.
Plastics and plastic pollution are a huge environmental, climate and health issue. It
is well beyond time to limit and eliminate single use plastics. Bozeman should lead
the way in protecting its citizens and reducing single use plastics. Resolution 5470 isin alignment with Bozeman's climate and sustainability plan.
