Dear Bozeman City Commissioners,
We would like to state our support of Resolution 5470 that would request the legislature torestore local government power to ban certain single use plastics. Here in Bozeman we think a
majority of people will support this ban, and since this would be the wish of most Bozemaniteswe should have the right to make those decisions for our own community.
Plastics, and single use plastics in particular, contribute to the degradation of our clean and
healthful environment in so many ways., yet we do have the tools to begin large scale reduction intheir use, we just need to have the will to put some regulations in place regarding the use of
them. This resolution would be a good first step.
