H.B. 407 infringed on Montanans’ right to a clean and healthful environment, and Res. 5470 will help remedy this.
Res. 5470 is in line with the City of Bozeman's climate and sustainability plans, has been favorably recommended by
the City Clerk and Manager, and is supported by the community. Therefore, the Commission should vote to approve
it. As Montana continues to grow, so will plastic pollution. Single-use plastics present a slough of environmental,
health, and climate-related problems.
