All to be concerned:
In reading Nora Shelly's article 11/25/22` in the Daily Chronicle, "Bozeman planning for
groundwater wells to boost water supply", I wish to shre a residents' concerns.
Gallatin County is a closed River Basin, the ground water and surface water are the same.
Municipalities are faced with billions of dollars$ of infrastructure needs and growing disputes
over the role of public and private water rights management.
Our here and there Wewer/Water plants are being purged with a glut of population before they
can manage all of it. Pollution threatens our supplies of clean water in the wells and in the
rivers. Never has the need for a strong State, County, City effort to protect clean water been so
important.
My concerns are turned into wanting all three of the Departments listed above to get on the same
page and together before issuing permits to save time or dollars $ , do the right process.
To large a population could limit development or we could be like Las Vegas, buying every
teaspoon of water in a plastic bottle. This is Montana, we are in the head waters of the Missouri
and we have responsibilities here.
Think before you Leap
For all our sakes-
