The Governor's Housing Task Force is pleased to share the preliminary draft of its second report, focusing on regulatorychanges and best practices that could be adopted by state agencies and local governments. Since the task force submittedits initial report to Governor Gianforte in October, members have continued to discuss Montana's housing challengesthrough more than 10 public meetings. At this time, the task force is excited to welcome public review and comment on itssecond compilation of recommendations.
The preliminary draft report has been published on the Housing Task Force web page. It represents a work product that weexpect will continue to evolve as further edits and clarifications are received in advance of the Dec. 15 deadline fortransmittal of the final report to the Governor.
Public comment on these recommendations will be accepted through the online comment portal, linked on the task forcewebsite, as well as at a dedicated public comment opportunity to be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, viaZoom.
