I was born and raised in NE MT, earned my BA in Sociology/Social Work from MSU, and my Master Degree in Social Work from Denver University. My career involved working as a child and family therapist for 10 years, running mental health organizations across the country, running a children's psychiatric hospital for five years, working in the behavioral health consulting space for over 20 years. My current work crosses rural and urban primary & behavioral health integration of care. The City of Bozeman strongly values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). My wife and I returned to Montana in 2005 after a 28 year hiatus from Montana, as I was offered to run the Gallatin Mental Health Center. Montana and Gallatin County are home with our adult children and grandchildren near by. We are active participants in community events and feel responsibility to share our privilege and good fortune by giving back to our community. My wife runs a statewide mental health advocacy and education non-profit.
