Hi Jeff (Commissioners and new Sustainabilty Director),
I listened to your FYI comments tonight at the City Commission meeting. You stated that a Sustainability Directorwas being hired. Then you stated that in conjunction with the Forest Service you would be burning slash and smokewould fill the air. Isn’t that a contradiction? CO2 gasses from burning contribute to greenhouse gasses. So why arewe burning slash piles? They can degrade naturally and house wildlife. Please reconsider this oxymoron.
