COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3164
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONT ANA, STATING THE CITY'S INTENT TO AMEND THE
1990
BOZEMAN AREA MASTER PLAN UPDA TE BY AMENDING THE LAND USE
ELEMENT FROM "URBAN
RESIDENTIAL" TO "BUSINESS
PARK/
INDUSTRIAL" ON 1.6039 ACRES KNOWN AS TRACT 1, CERTIFICATE OF
SURVEY NO. 1895, LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWEST ONE-QUARTER OF
SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 1
SOUTH, RANGE 6 EAST, MONTANA
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, GALLATIN COUNTY, MONTANA.
WHEREAS, Planning staff has processed an application for a
Master Plan
Amendment to amend the land use element from "Urban Residential" to "Business Parkl
Industrial" on a 1.6039~acre parcel lying along the east side of Story Mill Road, between
Bridger Drive and Hillside Lane, in the 1990 Bozeman Area Master Plan Update; and
WHEREAS, the Planning staff assessed the application in light of the criteria set
forth for review of Master Plan Amendments; and
WHEREAS, the City-County Planning Board conducted a public hearing on an
application for said amendment at its regular meeting held on February 19, 1997, taking into
careful consideration the criteria set forth for review of Master Plan Amendment applications;
and
WHEREAS, the City-County Planning Board found that the application does not
comply with the approval criteria established in Chapter 5 of the 1990 Bozeman Area Master
Plan Update, and that the proposed amendment does not constitute an overall improvement
to the Plan; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to its public hearing, the City-County Planning Board voted,
on a vote of 6 to 0, to forward a recommendation for denial; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is scheduled to conduct its public hearing on said
amendment at its regular meeting held on March 3, 1997, taking into careful consideration
the criteria set forth for review of Master Plan Amendment applications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman, Montana, that it intends to revise the Master Plan to amend the land use element
from "Urban Residential" to "Business Parkllndustrial" on 1 .6039 acres known as Tract 1,
Certificate of Survey No. 1895, located in the Southwest one-quarter of Section 32,
Township 1 South, Range 6 East, Montana Principal Merdian, Gallatin County, Montana, in
the 1990 Bozeman Area Master Plan Update.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
at a regular session thereof held on the 3rd day of March 1997.
