Hello appreciated public servants,
I'm writing, as you might have guessed, to encourage you to oppose the current proposed project
#22047. My letter is brief as others have spelled out many of the problems with this proposal.
Your decision is actually quite clear cut. My understanding is that as volunteers and employees of
the city of Bozeman, you are required to enforce Planned Unit Development requirements, and to
enforce covenants on such sites.
My suggestion would be to turn the plan back to the developer and ask if he/she/they had read the
requirements for the property. If not, welcome them to read them, rework their plan in strict
compliance with said documents, and resubmit. If the developer had not done prior homework, that
is not the responsibility of all of you mentioned above to mitigate the expense or problems that
decision may pose. In fact your duty is to enforce the original requirements and limitations agreed
upon, to which the city was a party in creating.
