To whom it may concern:
I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed Sundance Springs
Commercial Development, site plan number 22047.
I have lived in this area with my family for approximately 25 years. Every
day I walk the trails around the proposed commercial development and
observe the animals and nature. The type of development proposed is not
in line with the intent of the neighborhood. Not only will it disrupt the
wildlife of the trail system but will also destroy the nature of the family
neighborhood by allowing alcohol consumption with loud, alcohol filled
folks disrupting the tranquility of the trail system and the family yards
filled with children and the children walking home from Morning Star
Elementary School and Sacajawea Middle School.
I know many variances are needed to approve this proposal. The
guidelines were made for a reason and I wish to express my dismay at them
being ignored.
Please deny application 22047 until such time as the site plan complies
with the 1992-era zoning requirements (without conditional uses) and the
block frontage standards (without departure), parking for proposed
buildings can be contained on site (as required by the City Commission),
and sidewalks are included on South Third Ave, to keep pedestrians safe as
commercial areas of the city expand outward.
Thanks for considering my comment.
