7B. FLASHING - ALL WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH
SECTION R703.4. APPROVED CORROSION RESISTANT
FLASHING SHALL BE APPLIED SHINGLE-FASHION IN A
MANNER TO PREVENT ENTRY OF WATER INTO THE
WALL CAVITY OR PENETRATION OF WATER TO THE
BUILDING STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS. SELF ADHERED
MEMBRANES USED AS FLASHING SHALL COMPLY WITH
AAMA711. THE FLASHING SHALL EXTEND TO THE
SURFACE OF THE EXTERIOR WALL FINISH. APPROVED
CORROSION-RESISTANT FLASHINGS SHALL BE
INSTALLED AT ALL OF THE FOLLOWING
LOCATIONS:PERIMETER OF ROOF TO PROTECT THE
ROOF EDGE COMPONENTS, AT ALL PENETRATIONS
THROUGH THE ROOF MEMBRANE.
4. STONE AND MASONRY VENEER - ALL WORK SHALL
COMPLY WITH 2018 IBC CHAPTER 14 AND 21.
STRUCTURAL MASONRY UNITS - CONCRETE MASONRY
-REFER TO THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER'S DRAWINGS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE SCOPE OF WORK FOR
STRUCTURAL MASONRY WORK.
VENEER MASONRY UNITS SHALL BE MANUFACTURED
UNITS - CORONADO STONE - PLAYA VISTA DESIGN -
"HURON" COLOR MIX
ANCHORAGE FOR VENEER UNITS - MASONRY VENEER
SHALL BE ATTACHED WITH ADHESIVE MORTAR TO A
CEMENTITIOUS SUBSTRATE SHEET.
JOINT TREATMENT FOR VENEER UNITS - BETWEEN
INDIVIDUAL MASONRY UNITS, GROUT WITH INTEGRAL
COLOR PORTLAND CEMENT GROUT - COLOR AS SELECTED
BY OWNER AND ARCHITECT. FINISH FACE OF GROUT

7A. ROOF ASSEMBLIES - ALL ROOFING WORK SHALL
COMPLY WITH 2018 IBC CHAPTER 15 - CLASS A ROOF
ASSEMBLIES.
ROOFING SHALL BE A PREFINISHED SHEET METAL PANEL
ROOF SYSTEM INSTALLED OVER A MANUFACTURER'S
RECOMMENDED UNDERLAYMENT- MINIMUM 15 YEAR
WARRANTY FOR MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION.
PROVIDE SAMPLES TO OWNER AND ARCHITECT FOR
APPROVAL. PANEL DESIGN SHALL BE EQUIVALENT TO
BERRIDGE MANUFACTURING'S "M" PANEL.
7C. ROOF DRAINAGE - SIZING FOR GUTTERS AND
DOWNSPOUTS PER IBC CHAPTER 1502 BASED ON THE
LOCAL WEATHER DATA.
GUTTER AND DOWNSPOUT SYSTEMS SHALL BE
PREFINISHED SHEET METAL .MATCHING THE FINISHING
OF THE FLASHING AT THE ROOF EDGE.
5. STRUCTURAL STEEL AND METAL FABRICATIONS - REFER
TO THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER'S DRAWINGS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE SCOPE OF WORK FOR
STRUCTURAL STEEL WORK. PROVIDE MISCELLANEOUS
METAL FABRICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION CONNECTIONS
AS REQUIRED.
8. JOINTS AND SEALANTS - SEAL THE PERIMETER OF
ALL COUNTERTOPS WITH A CONTINUOUS BEAD OF
CLEAR SILICON SEALANT.
SEAL JOINTS BETWEEN PRECAST CONCRETE WALL
CAPS WITH SILICON OR POLYURETHANE SEALANT ON
TOP OF A BACKER ROD SET WITHIN THE JOINT.
9C. PAINTING - PROVIDE WATER BASED PAINTS
TYPICAL PER OWNER'S SPECIFICATION. AFTER
CLEANING, ALL SURFACES SHALL RECEIVE ONE
PRIMER COAT, ONE INTERMEDIATE COAT, AND ONE
TOPCOAT. PAINT TYPES SHALL MEET
MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS FOR
COMPATIBILITY WITH SURFACES TO BE PAINTED.
MATERIALS AND LABOR TO BE PROVIDED BY THE
CONTRACTOR.
6. WALLS - EXTERIOR COVERING - ALL WORK SHALL
COMPLY WITH 2018 IBC CHAPTER 14. EXTERIOR WALLS
SHALL PROVIDE A WEATHER RESISTANT EXTERIOR WALL
ENVELOPE. THE EXTERIOR WALL ENVELOPE SHALL
INCLUDE FLASHING AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1404.4
THE EXTERIOR WALL SHALL BE DESIGNED AND
CONSTRUCTED IN A MANNER THAT PREVENTS THE
ACCUMULATION OF WATER WITHIN THE WALL ASSEMBLY BY
PROVIDING A WATER-RESISTANT BARRIER BEHIND THE
EXTERIOR VENEER AS DETAILED IN SECTION 1404.3 AND A
MEANS OF DRAINING TO THE EXTERIOR WATER THAT
ENTERS THE ASSEMBLY. PROTECTION AGAINST
CONDENSATION IN THE EXTERIOR WALL ASSEMBLY SHALL
BE PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 1404.3.
WATER RESISTIVE BARRIER - APPLY MATERIAL
HORIZONTALLY WITH THE UPPER LAYER LAPPED OVER THE
LOWER LAYER NOT LESS THAN 2". WHERE VERTICAL
JOINTS OCCUR, LAP NOT LESS THAN 6". THE WATER
RESISTIVE BARRIER SHALL BE CONTINUOUS FROM THE
BOTTOM TO THE TOP OF WALLS AND TERMINATED AT
PENETRATIONS AND BUILDING APPENDAGES IN A MANNER
TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE EXTERIOR WALL
ENVELOPE AS DESCRIBED IN 2018 IBC SECTION 1404.3
11. PIZZA OVEN - PROVIDE SINGLE OVEN 60" WIDE
