To Whom it may concern,
Did you know that 10 percent of the population has been stalked at some time in their lives? And a far higher
percentage has been raped.
The requirement to state ones address in pubic is an antiquated and dangerous idea. It needs to be updated.
I have had people show up on my door step after meetings to “discuss” my comments made before the commission.
It’s scary, no matter who they are. And I have been stalked in my life and do not want to make it easier for my
rapist to find me.
Why should these barriers be kept in pace so that the City can’t hear people who want to comment? Emails don’t
require a home address.
I suggest that you have people sign a sheet, or simply state their neighborhood instead.
