To whom it may concern,
I believe the policy on local streets needs to be updated on all new construction projects and parking needs to be
updated on all current local streets.
The width of local streets is 30 feet (actually 28 or less feet inside the curbs). This used to work when there was less
traffic and lots of driveways to duck into when passing large vehicles while vehicles and snow were parked on the
sides. Picture 4 trucks occupying the same space with snow pushed up against the curbs.
Now consider that in many areas there are long stretches of blocks with local that have only one or two driveways
for large buildings or apartments. I have been in 20 minutes traffic jams with people trying to get through.
Frustrating as hell. My car was sideswiped while parked twice last year.
Please update policy and have parking only on one side of the street when there are limited driveways. And on new
construction increase the width of the road.
