Hello Transportation Department and Transportation Board!
I have been reading comments about how dangerous the intersection of Flanders Mill and Oak is. But today Iwitnessed it first hand. I was following a car traveling south on Flanders Mill and he blew through the intersectionwithout stopping.
Because it is two lanes it is hard for someone to realize that vehicles traveling on Oak don’t have to stop. I havealso watched my husband traveling east on Oak not understand that the left lane suddenly feeds left onto FlandersMill.
To complicate things, this intersection is right next to the Highschool. There needs to be a four way controlled stop. Markings can also be improved.
Solutions need to happen soon.
It has been my experience that once a committee considers a matter - it can expedite solutions. I hope the Board willconsider this intersection and bring the school board, police and transportation department to the meeting.
