Greetings, I would like to share my views.
We are trading the soul of our community for convenience. We are losing site of what makes Bozeman,
Bozeman. The payoff of the extension, we will be able to access Owenhouse or Rosauers 4 minutes
faster than before, the university 3 minutes faster. Let's talk about the downside:
We take away the rural Montana feel from all our neighborhoods, Bozeman will become
something other than Bozeman. If you need an example take a long look at high density urban centers
around the nation. This is where it begins, unfortunately, this will just be the beginning, not the end. The
developers will use the expanded infrastructure to justify high density infill.
Neighborhoods will be carved up and lose their uniqueness, their identity, their community. We
will be defined by traffic signals and round abouts.
Bottom line, all those things that make Bozeman so special and dear to us will fade away. High
density living does not belong in Montana, or anywhere. Encourage development to expand outward, not
inward.
Lastly, you have a wonderful opportunity to do something impactful for all of us. Take some of the money
and develop a natural corridor of trails and parks such as the galligator that will keep our collective dream
alive. Let's do for the west side what we've done for the east side'
Extending Fowler has no winners , we all lose.
Thankyou for your consideration,
Steve Perry
