BACKGROUND:The end of August marked the culmination of three out of four phases of the Parks, Recreation and Active Transportation Plan (PRAT Plan). In the final phase, the consultant team and staff will compile a years worth of public engagement, findings, strategies and recommendations into a document for review by the Urban Parks and Forestry Board (UPFB) and the city commission. We are on track to complete this plan early in the new year and get work creating a system that that is connected, cared for, resilient fun and assessible. At the September 22nd UPFB meeting, staff will lead the discussion regarding the boards review of the comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Active Transportation Plan that will occur over the next serval months. Staff and the board will use the following materials in its review of the plan. Request for proposals for the Comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Active Transportation Including review of adherence and advancement or replacement of relevant sections of the following city of Bozeman planning documents and plans: Bozeman Community Plan Transportation Plan Climate Plan Bozeman Strategic Plan Agency Landscape and Planning Proposal Public Survey Results of public engagement 9 In September, staff will also present a draft schedule for UPFB and City Commission review of the plan including dates that plan drafts will be shared with the board and public. Staff will continue to update the plan website with information as it becomes available including presentations attached to this agenda item that were shared with stakeholders and staff in August.
