STRATEGIC PLAN:1.3 Public Agencies Collaboration: Foster successful collaboration with other public agencies and build on these successes. BACKGROUND:Urban Transportation District HRDC’s Streamline helps meet the needs of our increasing population in a number of ways, benefiting not just riders, but everyone living in the Gallatin Valley. One way to help Streamline to expand and address these growing needs is to create an Urban Transportation District (UTD) within our community. Learn all about this effort at https://streamlinebus.com/UTD/ Community Needs Assessment Every 3 years HRDC conducts a Community Needs Assessment to better understand the changing needs across our service area. This assessment then informs our Strategic Plan, which orients our focus on programming and partnership collaborations for the following 3 years. We believe it is vital that each assessment is formed based on the direct experiences and thoughts of our community members. To achieve this, we conduct stakeholder interviews and collect survey data focused on community challenges, what needs are most pressing and what future challenges are critical for HRDC to start planning for. The following questions are meant to drive an open discussion, and our facilitator will be taking notes throughout. 1. In our 2019 CNA, the data showed the top five community needs in order as: a. Housing b. Mental health c. Childcare d. Healthcare e. Transportation Do these needs accurately reflect the top 5 community challenges in 2022 or have other pressing needs emerged? (i.e. food, workforce development, education, senior programs, youth support) 2 2. How would you order your new top 5 needs? 3. If labor and resources were unlimited, what are the top 3 community solutions that should be prioritized? 4. What are the top 3 threats to community stability and future prosperity? If you have more feedback you didn’t have time to share, you can send your answers directly via email to kdicomitis@thehrdc.org. Please share the questions and contact email with anyone else you think would be interested in providing feedback.
