I am NOT an anti-gov't nut job. I support most City and County initiatives and I understand that we need to
fund them.
**However, I do feel strongly that the proposed property tax increases are excessive at best, and possibly
unnecessary altogether. The tax base is growing rapidly and property values are that taxes are used to
calculate them are up over 50% in the last two years.
And worse, I feel that if the Commission approves this increase, there will be a backlash from the
community in the next few elections that will result in a much less progressive Commission. I urge you to
vote NO on the proposed increases this evening.
