I am writing to encourage the City of Bozeman to set aside at least $200,000 fromSTR132 to be partially or fully used for the Frontage Pathway between 7th and 19th.
This would provide enough money for Galla10 Alliance for Pathways to match the
City one-to-one with money raised specifically for this project, a plan that wouldbenefit private citizens, Gallatin County and the City of Bozeman.
Let’s make Bozeman known for its safe and friendly bike pathways! Bike traffic has been
increasing on the dangerous Frontage Road every year and it can be quite scary for
commuters — bicyclists and automobile drivers alike!
What a win-win to our community to have a safe, wide, fast, and direct path connecting the
"M" to Valley Center and onward to Four Corners or Belgrade.
Biking paths that allow people to safely commute to work and school across Gallatin
County will encourage more people to use bicycles as a primary mode of transportation.
This could reduce traffic congestion and pollution throughout the Valley while putting the
Bozeman on the map as a forward thinking city.
Please, let’s make this happen!
Sincerely,
Paula Power
Bozeman resident
