Transportation Board, City Staff, and Commission— I'm writing to request that funding from STR132 to be partially used for the Frontage Pathway. The Frontage Pathway will fill an important gap in our regional active transportation network. When complete, this path will provide important connectivity between Bozeman, Belgrade, and the airport. This is—and will remain—a dangerous stretch of highway for bicyclists, and will continue to be used due to its important connectivity until a safer alternative is available. The Frontage Pathway is shovel ready and a good use of STR132 funds and will provide important regional connectivity in a manner that is safe and appropriate for users of all ages and abilities. While on the topic of funding, I'd also like to formally register a request that the city consider installing an RFFB or HAWK at the Oak Street crossing between the Cannery District and the Fairgrounds. This is a frequently used and challenging crossing. The wide road, fast driving speeds (35 mph posted speed limit), and short sight distance all contribute to the difficulty of crossing the road. Thank you for your consideration and your service. Mark Egge 219 E Story St Bozeman, MT 59715
