The design of the intersection was poor to begin with, but made even worse and dangerous by a new traffic pattern. The signs and barriers to very little to influence what drivers are doing as they speed through that intersection. Some do follow the pattern, but my concern is that those who do, will get t-boned, or rear- ended at high speed (and I've seen this "almost" playout as I go for a run nearby). Glass in the road indicates there have already been accidents. As we get into a new school year, please consider whatever needs to be done to prevent a bad accident. Take into account the nature of the pattern (confusing, barriers missing, no meaningful directions with arrows painted on the road), along with the fact that people text and drive (distracted), do not yield the right of way to pedestrians (rarely), are generally aggressive in nature, and don't have to take an actual driving test to get a license. This sounds harsh, but it is true. Some simple observations will validate my feedback before there is a really bad accident.
