City Commissioners,
I am writing to provide public comment for the August 23, 2022 meeting and ask that the City ofBozeman continue to expedite the process of issuing a Certificate of Occupancy for the BozemanSwim Center effective October 3, 2022. In speaking with members of the Bozeman swimcommunity, we strongly support the announcement made during last week's City Commissionmeeting that the targeted date for reopening the Swim Center is October 1. I respectfully ask thatyou provide whatever support you can to make this happen. Additionally, if assistance is neededto help clean and prepare the Swim Center for reopening, please consider asking and advertisingthis request. Our swim community has a large number of enthusiastic volunteers that wouldgladly lend time and efforts to making this happen. Finally, I ask that you consider taking sometime after the Swim Center reopens to come visit us between 4-6pm at the pool so that you cansee the impact that the Swim Center has on our community and our kids. We wish to remainengaged with the city as it relates to the future of swimming in Bozeman from a recreational andcompetitive standpoint.
