I am writing to express my concern regarding the Council's intention to raise current rates. Myshort list of concerns are as follows:
Consumer Discretionary dollars are under pressure (Inflation, interest rates advancing)Housing affordability is already in crisis, we don't need to make it worse
Direct risk to our ability to support growth with an already unhealthy labormarket
Pending Economic Contraction, risks wage growth in the face of cost of living increases
For these reasons, I urge the Panel to reconsider this poorly timed and risky proposal.
