Dear City Commissioners,
Just writing to encourage investment in our swimming pools. I've been a patron of the swim center for over
ten years and think it is a healthy community place.
Swimming is a very healthy activity and many people from children on up to the elderly depend on the pool
to help them keep physically active and healthy.
I have met several older people, and people with a disability who depend on the pool for this. Mental
health is also an issue in our community and things like swimming can help people a lot.
Secondly, I would like to suggest that a lifeguard be employed at least part time at the Bozeman beach --
East Gallatin Recreation Area. This is a very popular recreation area in the summer, and it is only a matter of
time until someone drowns there.
