Hi Taylor,
Please see the email below from Interim Fair Director Rachel May. There was a recent,
sudden change at the Fairgrounds as Dennis Voeller retired from the position of Director, andRachel took over as interim Director. Rachel had already planned to be out-of-office this week
so is unable to attend the meeting tonight. However, she sent this email last week (provided toCity Planning Staff at that time as well), which expresses support from the Gallatin County
Fairgrounds for the project.
Please include this as part of the official record.
Thanks,

Garrett,
I think that is helpful to have. Reminder that it is the County that is eligible to request the exemption,
so while the project may specifically be for the Bucks, it is the county as the property owner and
lessor that makes it possible and is truly who it is submitted on behalf of.

Diane and Lynn--
Please see the email below from Rachel May, Interim Fairgrounds Director. Rachel will not beable to be in attendance at the City Commission meeting next week, so I asked her to send aquick note expressing support of the project. I'm not sure if this necessarily needs to beincluded as part of the formal record, but I will reference this email verbally during mypresentation, so I wanted to provide it to the City.
Thanks,
Garrett Schultz, P.E.

Hi Garrett-
Thank you for the email and the follow up phone conversation. I will not be in attendance at the city
commission meeting on 8/16 but as the interim fairgrounds director, the fairgrounds is in support of
a baseball batting cage and all additional construction that will take place to put the batting facility
into use.
If the batting facility is in usage all year long, then the lease will need to be reevaluated but that will
be a side note.
Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions. Also, my work cell is 406-451-4426 if you
need to call me next week before or during the meeting.
