Hello Commissioners. I am writing to you today in support of the Bozeman Legion Baseball Site Plan, and
specifically the requested agency exemptions. I am a parent of 4 young kids in the City of Bozeman, who all
love to be active and play sports (like many kids in our community). Our community is really in need of this
facility--we all know how much it snows here and how difficult it is to get space anywhere in town for
indoor activities. This facility will allow my kids, and all of our kids in the baseball community, a space to
stay active and improve their skills year round! Other nearby (Belgrade, Three Forks) and state-wide
(Missoula, Billings) programs already have indoor facilities for practice space, and the Bucks need this
facility to raise the competitive bar and provide our kids a space to practice and remain active even during
the cold, snowy months.
All of the proposed agency exemptions seem to fit the use of the building and the location of the site well.
The non-profit Bucks have really taken a big step here to improve Heroes Park and the look of this section
of the Fairgrounds. Please approve this site plan, including the requested agency exemptions, so the project
can move forward!
