For the consideration of the Bozeman Commissioners:
I am a parent of two current Bozeman Bucks baseball players. My boys spend almost their entire summer at
Hero's Park honing their baseball skills in hopes of becoming better players. But that isn't an option for
them once the weather changes. In the winter months they don't have anywhere to go.
I would like to urge each of you to approve the request by the Bozeman Bucks Baseball organization to
build an adjacent indoor facility to the current Field at Hero's Park.
Bozeman is woefully lacking in appropriate facilities for young baseball athletes. Limited number of ball
fields that are poorly maintained in a growing city seems to be an indication that planners are not placing a
high value on the experience of our children. The proposal by the Bozeman Bucks is aiming to bridge the
gap! Bozeman is the only city in Montana with a AA team that doesn't have year round hitting and training
facilities. That means our kids are disadvantaged.
It's so important as our town grows and the tax base continues to increase that leaders and elected officials
see the importance of ensuring there are facilities for our youth! We desperately need this facility. Please
show your support for these kids by approving the proposal set forth by the Bozeman Bucks.
