I am writing in support of the proposed baseball hitting facility.
The Bozeman Bucks program has been great to get my son and myself (back) into baseball. We have loved
being able to enjoy one of the greatest sports of all time. My son has been playing league for 5 years and
now, All- Stars for the last two years. He has been challenged in competitive league play and thrived as a
leader on the All-Star team. I have been fortunate enough to be able to coach several years as an assistant
coach/ head coach and helped coach the 12 U all star team well into the regional tournament this year. I
have to say, it has been one of the most rewarding times of our life's. My family and I have made so many
friends and now have an amazing Baseball "family" here in the valley.
When I heard that there was a baseball facility proposed, I knew this was a step in the right direction for the
community. I donated what I could toward the project and asked how else I could help.
I am a 7th generation to the Gallatin valley and my kids are now 8th generation Montanans. It has always
been a goal of mine and my childhood friends to put Montana on the sports map. The facility is the missing
piece to make this happen for the baseball community. We see the success from teams that can
play/practice year round. Our kids deserve the same opportunity. They just need to be able to get reps
during the long winter, and we will be better able to represent Bozeman. There is nowhere we can
currently go to practice during the winter.
This is a very important to me, my family and the community. Please approve the hitting facility.
