Email: agenda@bozeman.net Mail to: Attn: City Commission PO Box 1230 Bozeman, MT 59771 First Name EJ Last Name Daws Email Address edaws42@gmail.com Phone Number 4065896247 Comments My name is EJ Daws, I am a 4th generation Bozeman resident and live at 455 Arrow Trail in Bozeman. I am a former legion player for the bucks (1999 - 2003) and currently serve on the Bucks BOD. The game of baseball has always been central in my life. Being fortunate enough to have played Division 1 Baseball at Michigan State University as a 4 year letter winner and Captain of the 2007 Spartan Baseball team, I have seen the great places that baseball can take a young person. Montana is not a baseball hot bed. The seasons are short, there is a ton of time on the road, and really the most committed young men play in the Bucks programs. A facility of this caliber will help that. I am passionate about this indoor facility, as it not only will provide year-round training ground for players who want to improve skills, but also allow kids to stay close to the Bozeman baseball program as they grow. Having something like this when I was 15 -16 years old would have been vital, giving me structure and a destination to workout and hone my skills. Surprisingly, Bozeman baseball does put a ton of young men into college at various levels (ranging from Junior College to Division 1 or even professionally) each year and the enhancement of this facility will only continue to inspire young people to continue to work hard and chase dreams of playing at the next level.
