Commissioners, As a local swim center user, owner of a fitness center and healthcare professional, it pains
me that our town's only full length pool is closed and has become a topic of political wrangling, personal
agendas and drama. The Emergency Resolution 5439 would solve numerous issues our community is
currently facing due to the closure of the Bozeman pool. It will speed up the restoration process, allowing
athletes to resume training, allow swim safety classes to continue and allow those who use the pool for
rehabilitation to strengthen their minds and bodies once again. It will spare our families and teenage
drivers the risks and costs of having to drive to Butte or other Montana towns to train.
It's pretty embarrassing that in a community as wellness minded and financially capable as Bozeman we are
pleading for permission to repair a center that acts as a center community service to health. I advocate for
passing the Emergency Resolution and ask for your support as well so we can provide this health benefit for
our various user groups.
