Dear Commissioners,
I am writing to express my opposition to Resolution 5406. The tree maintenance program should, in
its entirety, be discontinued. It is not sustainable. I have owned my property for 13 years, paid this
assessment every year, and when we need assistance with tree issues we are told they are 5-6 years
out on maintenance and that we can try to get vouchers to get trees (which are limited) and then we
would have to plant them ourselves. This is beyond unacceptable.
Our community of 60 homes pays $12,000/year in assessments. Where does this money go year
after year? We contribute this and yet can’t get 6 trees replaced in 13 years and some trimming
done? Not acceptable.
Until you come up with a better management plan, there should be no fee increase. Throwing
money at this program is not the answer.
