Hi, I am not sure where to direct feedback on 25th Avenue road "improvement", feel free to forward to the appropriate party, or provide contact information. Our road at 25th Avenue between Babcock and Mendenhall received road work last week. Inthe information sheet from Knife River, it was stated that asphalt would be placed, and take about one day to complete the work. Instead, chip seal was used with a very rough surface. Aweek later, it does not appear that the work is complete with several areas of loose gravel. Since we do not have a sidewalk all the way, I found it was too bumpy to walk my 3 month old in a stroller around my block when I had to walk on the chipseal. It was especially bumpyon the side of the road, and marginally better to walk down the middle of the street. I did not feel safe walking with my 3 month old down the middle of 25th Avenue, where most peopledrive faster than the 25 mph speed limit. I also tried biking on the chip sealed road and did not feel safe in the gravel. Generally, chip seal is not very comfortable to bike on since it takesmany passes with a heavy vehicle to make a smooth path. Chip sealed roads do not enhance the experience of commuting by bike. I am sure this causes more cars on the road, and moretraffic in a city that seems to have more vehicles each day. It seems I can no longer walk or bike on my street, and I find it upsetting that I am now forced to go by car and not get fresh air or move my body. I hope the City of Bozeman will considerusing less chip seal and more asphalt in the future. Durston from Ferguson to 19th is wonderful! Thanks,Guro Lindgren 30 N 25th Ave
