As the mother of two small children and pets the thought of this busy thoroughfare in our backyard is not only
unfortunate but frightening. The growth of Bozeman has caused several changes, many negative, but the destruction
of natural land, old trees, and animal habitat through a 30+ year old neighborhood tops the list. It’s one thing to pop
up multimillion dollar condos and beastly apartment complexes in every vacant lot, it’s another to so aggressively
disturb a long-standing peaceful family neighborhood. Have you considered the effect of roundabouts on Babcock
and Durston to school crossings? Hyalite elementary’s main crossing is mere feet from this proposed roundabout.
How will steady nonstop traffic be controlled? It will cause backups within the roundabout and create serious traffic
jams!
With other major thoroughfares already onFerguson and 19th I just can’t find a good reason to add a third through
this location. The opportunity to put Fowler through passed 30 years ago. It is simply irresponsible and disrespectful
for a small group of poor planners to disrupt so many now.
