I was very disappointed when the City Commission made the decision to allow the North Central Project
(NCP) to proceed. Now here we are as the project ramps up with the excavation on the former parking lot
west of the Medical Arts Complex (MAC) and most recently the excavation of the MAC parking lot.
I was opposed to the project from the beginning and commented several times with my concerns. The
construction currently going on is very annoying especially when the haul trucks are blocking the streets,
and in my case, turning in front of my house. Honestly, I'm not enjoying the increased traffic and resultant
noise. Was there a traffic plan included in the construction plan, because the trucks are coming from all
directions? I don't like that trucks are using Villard to access the site.
This is just a taste of the lengthy nuisance this neighborhood is going to have to deal with for a project that
should not have been allowed to proceed. The resultant blight will ruin the neighborhood. High rises next
to single family residences are wrong!! How could you bow down to Mr. Halloran and give him carte
blanche to do whatever he wanted? He's not doing this to help Bozeman, but to line his pockets and those
of his out of state investors. It makes me sick to have to watch this project evolve into the "so un-Bozeman"
mass it will become.
I will boycott any business in the NCP. I can't wait for the day Mr. Halloran leaves town once his dirty work
is completed. I will also vote for anybody running against any current member of the Commission come
election time. You have let me, the neighborhood and the City of Bozeman down.
