I live on Palisade Dr. and will be directly affected by Six Range. I did not get to attend the public forum, but I have talked to fellow residents. I was told that the size and height of the proposed condos by Six Range was mostly already approved. As I look at the surrounding subdivisions, they mostly have 2 level condos or townhouses with pitched roofs. Their parking is hidden within their space. Having 4 level high condos with flat roofs will be an eyesore only suitable for university apartments. We have a community with a strong HOA. Our housing and landscaping are the envy of most other HOA’s. I find it sad that you let another developer ruin the skyline of not just ours, but the other surrounding subdivisions. The location of the parking lot is going to be a huge invasion privacy for all residents on Palisade Dr. From the cars coming and going all day and night and the lights hitting our living rooms and bedrooms to the smell of the dumpsters, people throwing trash and banging lids, and the trucks emptying them. This should not be our problem; it should be contained withing Six Range. I heard the architect was asked about this and his answer was “I don’t see the problem” I am certain that he would if it was next to his home. At a minimum if you do approve Six Range plan, I hope you address the parking issue. We will need a good barrier or “screening” to help with the light and noise pollution that will be caused. A earth barrier will not work because it would have to be maintained with a sprinkler system on property manager keeping up with weeds and plants. The landscaping and vegetation they currently have planned will barely work in the summer, and not at all in the winter, and still not address the noise. I suggest a 6–8-foot mason wall. It will be low to no maintenance and do the best job of protecting us from light and noise pollution year around.
