I oppose the Fowler Ave Connection road project for several valid reasons.
This is a much needed green space.
It supports wildlife and a variety of birds, including migratory birds
Taking down all of the trees and adding pavement will increase the temperature in this area substantially
This is an important ecological area that supports native plants, which was pointed in a study done by a
Bozeman based environmental consulting firm
This is a school corridor where children pass through to get to 4 different schools.
A trail system would benefit this area and connect the 100 acre park to the Bozeman Pond Park and dog park.
Bozeman used to have an emphasis on biking and walking through this town. That philosophy seems to have
changed with your rapid expansion plans that only benefits business and not the people living in this town.
I have yet to see a current environmental impact study done by the city.
After polling several residents on Sheridan and New Holland, I discovered that they do not want the Fowler
Connection road to go through.
Please halt this project now!
Sincerely,
Patty Dickerson
