I am contacting you to see if we could get some work done on the trail between the Museum of the Rockies and GrafStreet. Specifically, there is a stretch of about 100 yards that has been virtually underwater since the tiling project for the development of the field to the west was completed. My wifeand I have been avoiding this usual stretch for a few months, but decided to give it a try again today thinking that July might be the magic dry out month. I am attaching a couple ofsnapshots to show that we were indeed wrong. The stretch between Arnold and Graf also has some issues with quite a bit of channel erosion in the center. One swipe from a plowblade would probably do the trick to alleviate this issue. I had initially contacted the Gallatin Valley Land Trust to offer up my services to maybe put my wheelbarrow and shovel to use by hauling some gravel to the low spots, but theyindicated this portion of the trail had been turned over to the city. I still would offer my services to spread gravel if a resident/city partnership is a possibility. Maybe Mr.Graf (thedeveloper of the field) could offer up some supplies and equipment as well? Let me know what you think. As a resident in the Figgins subdivision for the past 18 years, I haveliterally walked/jogged/biked thousands of miles on the trail in question and it seems a shame to have it be virtually unusable due to the current water issue.
