I oppose building a road, whether five-lane, three-lane or two-lane, through the
Section Line Ditch Corridor. The study entitled Habitat and Wetland Assessment:
Section Line Ditch Corridor, Bozeman, MT shows this is an area of ecological
importance for both plants and wildlife. A road would destroy much of its ecological
value forever. A non-paved trail system through the area would be much more
appropriate. Ferguson Avenue already provides an adequate route for vehicle traffic
just a short distance to the west. Future generations will thank us if we think aheadand preserve what little natural area we have left in Bozeman for them.
