To Whom it may concern
You know, the letter to the editor did make a lot of sense. We should strive to protect what little
wetlands and trail systems remain in that area of town. I think that building for the sake of “tax
dollars” to support the growth of the city budget and excessive building profits to developers has
gone wrong within the city. It is turning into a beast that must always be fed. What happened to
Quality of Life in the planning office? I oppose the FAC and believe that growth over every square
foot is not the answer. The City needs to demand that a sales tax be initiated as Bozeman IS a tourist
destination and the city and county should reduce our home tax rates as well. Then the city and
county could have some real money (and spend wisely) to make the infrastructure up-grades and
protect important riparian areas and foot friendly trails that we all deserve in this wonderful area we
call home.
