My profession experience includes teaching at an Elementary School, Middle School, and High School for the Irvine
Unified School District in Irvine, California. During my years at the high school, I taught Administration of Justice,
Driver Education, Economics, Health Education, Political Science, Psychology, and World History. I have had some
incredible experiences as a Ranger in Yellowstone N.P. where I often spoke with visitors about wildlife, geology, and
the cultural history of the park.
The City of Bozeman strongly values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Describe any efforts you have engaged
in to expand your understanding of DEI.
As an educator, I learned about DEI and how to create equitable learning environments that benefit and support all
students. As one of the Bozeman Police Commissioners, I have become familiar with the City of Bozeman's DEI that
values policies and programs that promote the representation and participatioin of different groups of individuals,
including people of different ages, races, and ethnicities, abilities and disabilities, genders, religions cultures and
sexual orientations.
