COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3228
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, REVISING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR PROCESSES UNDER THE
ZONE CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission did, on the 3rd day of September 1991, finally
adopt the Bozeman Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission did, on the 5th day of October 1992, adopt
Commission Resolution No. 2882, revising the fee schedule to more closely reflect the actual
cost incurred for the various processes; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission did, on the 17th day of April 1995, adopt
Commission Resolution No. 3054, revising the fees for deviations within the Neighborhood
Conservation Overlay District; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has identified a need to revise the fee schedule to
provide additional categories and attendant fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman, Montana:
SECTION I
That the following schedule of fees, utilized in conjunction with the zone code, shall
be revised to read as follows:
A. After-the-Fact Permits For all permits for which application is filed
after
the work has been started and is currently in
process or completed, the amount of the fees
listed below shall be doubled. Failure to obtain
a permit prior to starting work may also be
processed as a
misdemeanor through City
Court, with
the appropriate misdemeanor
penalty to be set by the City Judge as an
alternative to doubling the fees listed below.
B. Certificates of Appropriateness (if
not in conjunction with a site plan,
PUD, or CUP)
1. Alterations Requiring Building
Permit $40.00
2. Alterations Not Requiring
Building Permit $ 2 5.00
3. Conforming Sign Proposals in
Neighborhood Conservation

1. Conceptual Plan Review $220.00 (Minimum fee after refund:
$140.00)
2. Preliminary Plan Review $660.00 plus $6.00 per residential
unit and/or
$4.00 per 1,000 sq. ft. of gross leasable
industrial or commercial (includes professional
business offices) floor area. (Minimum fee after
refund: $500.00)
3. Final Plan Review $220.00 (Minimum fee after refund:
$140.00)
H. Recreational Vehicle Parks $330.00 plus $5.00 per trailer space
I. Sign Review
1. If not in conjunction with a Except as noted below, no

SECTION II
That the fees set forth in the above schedule shall supersede those set forth in
Commission Resolution No. 2882, and shall become effective March 1, 1998.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
at a regular session thereof held on the 17th day of February 1998.
