Re: Noise ordinance
As a long time resident of the North East corner of old Bozeman, I am expressing my support for a
reasonable noise ordinance regarding construction. As a Northsider I am impacted in a major way by the
ongoing construction of large and longterm projects. Bozeman is behind many larger towns in Montana in
putting in place reasonable noise limits of these projects.
There is a lot of talk about preserving neighborhoods and our way of life and it is time to implement some
action to that end. As neighborhoods are destroyed for the whim of out of state developers, the City of
Bozeman owes it to the residents of the neighborhood remnants to stop talking and start acting. There are
many, many aspects of the "noise problem" in Bozeman which are never enforced. Think fireworks,
motorcycles, music and, of course, construction.
Please, do this so that those of us who have invested our money, our time and our hearts in Bozeman don't
have to wake up to construction noise at six o'clock in the morning.
