Context
Context
This proposed ADU fits within the context of the
neighborhood in several ways.
The form, massing, and placement of the building
is consistent with many detached, two story ADUs
in the neighborhood (515 W Cleveland St, 700
Block S 7th, 200 Block W Cleveland, etc).
The materials used are also consistent with the
neighborhood. The white horizontal lap siding
matches the existing house (see A05), and several
other new builds in the NCOD (shown at right).
This is the second Foothold Alder to be placed in
the NCOD. The first – 1208 S Willson, see 3 at
right – has the same siding, gable roof, black
windows, and exterior stair, porch, and awning
details as this proposed ADU.
