Good morning, I have attached a statement in opposition to the Upland Way Site Plan, Application 21394. Iknow you have a difficult job to do, but please consider the reasons for my opposition to this plan.Thank you very much, Robin Boydkarate_jeep@bresnan.net 406-925-0876 To: Danielle Garber, and to May 3, 2022 City of Bozeman Department of Community Development, I am emailing you, as instructed, to go on record, that I strongly oppose the Upland Way Site Plan, Application 21394 I live at 2120 Buckrake Ave, Bozeman. I feel this project should not be allowed because it goes against everything Montana and Bozeman stand for. I am a life-long resident of Montana and feel it is unethical to remove the established trees, brush, and grasses that are so crucial to variety of animal life, birds (protected Magpies, Owls, Pheasants) and other song and common birds. There rabbits, gophers and occasional deer will pass through, or even bed down. The tall spruce trees, shrubs, and even the grasses provide shade, noise barrier, and privacy for our homes along the increasingly busy Baxter Ln and Buckrake Ave. My wife (Debe Bay) has a licensed Daycare and a Pre-school in our home, (licensed as “Debe’s Daycare” thru the State of Montana, and thru the City of Bozeman). The children enjoy the back yard so much. The neighborhood will all change if the Upland Way Site Plan is approved. This present setting will all change due to more congestion in a small area. Undesirable people that may be a danger to the established daycare and pre- school. Home owners will have to install air-conditioners (more electricity used), use more water to green up their lawns, build bigger fences for privacy, noise pollution will replace the birds singing, and all the wild life will be gone, all because the trees will be cut down and buildings will be there. Crime will rise, making more calls for already busy law enforcement departments. This small partial of land would be more suited for a park for everyone to enjoy. There is a field across the street to the east that has none of these qualities of life on it. I am against this Upland Way Site Plan, because it is in the wrong location, of why we live in Montana and in Bozeman. Thank you, Robin Boyd 2120 Buckrake Ave Bozeman, Mt 59718 406-925-0876 karate_jeep@bresnan.net
