Dear Commissioners and Mayor Andrus-
After reviewing the memo regarding Resolution 5398 - The 2022 Drought Management Plan I
find there are no apparent plans to curb city growth listed within the summary of The Plan.
While I agree that we should all do our part to reduce water use, I cannot make sense of thecity commission requiring conservation efforts of its residents while simultaneously approving
annexation after annexation of high density parcels into city limits.
Why would you ask your current residents to conserve and/or pay more and then continuallyadd more people/homes into the city at the same time when the water "pie" is part of a closed
watershed and cannot and will not be getting any bigger.
Please help me understand how you justify these incongruent actions.
