Q1. The RFQ asks for a page limit of 10. Will the signed acknowledgement of the Attachment A-
Nondiscrimination and Equal Pay Affirmation be included in the 10 pages or is this separate from the
10?
A1. The 10 page limit does not include Attachment A
Q2. The RFQ asks that the electronic submission be on a flash drive delivered, however it also states
to email the response. Is it one or the other, or both?
A2. Email will be the best way to deliver the RFQ, and I recommend calling the city clerk after submission
to confirm it was received.
Q3. Will there be an addendum issued between now and then outlining the questions that possible
respondents have asked?
A3. Yes, an addendum will be posted with questions responded to.
Q4. Will there be a subsequent RFP upon short list of from the RFQ, or will the City select the list from
this RFQ?
A4. Our intention is to send a very brief RFP to all contractors evaluated to be qualified. The RFP will
simply ask the firm to outline the services they provide and the hourly rates which charge. This will allow
us to sign public service agreements with contractors to provide services at those rates, allowing work to
start much more quickly.
Q5. Will there be any limitations as to how many projects must be bid or performed for one of the
selected GC’s to remain in this program?
A5. There are not limitations or requirements to remain on the list of qualified contractors, our intention
is to maintain a healthy pool of qualified contractors. Contractors may be asked to resubmit their
statements of qualifications in following fiscal years to keep the list up to date.
Q6. Is it safe to assume that the subsequent projects solicited under this RFQ will be lump sum / low
bid?
A6. Project bidding formats will be job specific, and may include lump sum bids and time and materials
not-to-exceed bids. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Q7. Are there projects that are imminent to this Summer?
A7. Yes, there are several projects planned for this summer and more are likely to arise as time
progresses. We are beginning several large renovation projects of recreation facilities as well as some
smaller projects which include repairs to Story Mansion and the modernization of an elevator system in
an office building.
