Ralph Zimmer commented thanked the board for postponing the work plan item.

Parking Program Manager Mike Veselik provided a copy of the resolution, background and purpose of
the resolution, and an explanation of the resolution. He highlighted changes of the previous policy and
new key points.

• Christine Roberts noted addressing affordable housing is a step in the right direction.
• Deejay Newell agreed with her fellow board member and noted the importance of controls on
the back-end of the resolution.
• Courtney Oyler agreed with her fellow board members and highlighted the importance of being
an advocate for affordable housing.
• Bryce Gordon agreed with his board members and reiterated due diligence.
• Shannon Mahoney noted the great use of space for affordable housing and her hesitation
around the congestion on that street due to the adjacent school.
• Paul Reichert echoed the comments of the board. He asked for clarification on the resolution
attachment. Staff confirmed. He noted the importance of adapting the management.
• Chair Pohl commented on the role of parking in affordable housing.

Transportation Engineer Taylor Lonsdale presented the micromobility work session update. He provided
background on Resolution 2072, a resolution previously passed by the City Commission to address
changes in BMC and State Code. He asked for input on the downtown parking pilot program. He
provided data from the scooter companies on trips and parking capacity. He provided other issues to
address.

City Manager Mihelich provided an update on what happened since the Transportation Board
recommended downtown parking supply and demand plan. He walked the Board through items the City
Commission requested more work on in relation to paid parking downtown.

Transportation Engineer Taylor Lonsdale provided an update on the future engagement on Fowler. He
pointed the board to the Engage Bozeman platform.
