BACKGROUND:The existing citywide plan for parks and trails is the 2007 Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Plan (PROST). In 2021, the Parks and Recreation Department together with the Transportation Division of Engineering has embarked on a new comprehensive plan called the Parks, Recreation and Active Transportation Plan (PRAT). The purpose of this plan is to create an overarching document that assesses and makes recommendations to provide for sufficient parkland, trails, and recreation/ aquatics programs and facilities for Bozeman citizens.
